Executive Board

Dr. Mike Davidson

Chairman, IFTCC – United Kingdom

Dr. Mike Davidson

Mike worked as an academic, staff and student developer at the universities of Rhodes, Nottingham, Surrey and Ulster. He founded the charity, Core Issues Trust in 2007. He produced and directed the feature documentary film, Voices of the Silenced (2018). He actively participates in UK media debate around sexual politics. He is a board member of the Alliance for Therapeutic Choice and Scientific Integrity incorporating the NARTH Institute (Alliance). He was refused certification by the UKCP and BPA and continues to advocate for the rights and freedoms of those leaving homosexuality.

Professor Carolyn Pela

Professor Carolyn Pela

An active researcher, and chair of the Department of Behavioural and Social Sciences at Arizona Christian University, Carolyn’s doctorate is in psychology. She is licensed in the State of Arizona as a Marriage and Family Therapist with 30 years of experience in the mental health field. She is on the editorial board for the Journal of Human Sexuality and is past president of the Alliance. Carolyn is a clinical member of the AAMFT, CAPS and the Society for the Teaching of Psychology. She is also nationally certified as a Family Life Educator by the National Council on Family Relations.

Dr. Med. Peter May

Peter May MRCS LRCP MRCGP is a General Practitioner in Southampton and was a member of the Church of England General Synod from 1985-2010. He contributes regularly to the Triple Helix, a journal of the Christian Medical Fellowship, and has paid careful attention to the clinical and medical aspects around sexual politics and contributes to the sexual politics debate in media. He is an author and public speaker.

Dr. Carys Moseley PhD

Dr. Carys Moseley PhD

Carys Moseley studied Classics at the University of Cambridge and Theology at the Universities of Oxford and Edinburgh. She held a research post in academic theology at Edinburgh and where she also taught Christian Theology and Ethics. She currently works in public policy research of Christian Concern in the UK.

Dr. Laura Haynes

Dr. Laura Haynes is a licensed psychologist, with over 40 years clinical practice experience. She is an author, and reviews peer-reviewed journals. She serves as Chair of Research and Legislative Policy for the National Task Force for Therapy Equality, Consultant for the American College of Pediatricians, and Member of the Research Committee for the Alliance for Therapeutic Choice and Scientific Integrity/NARTH Institute. She is a former regional president of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies and a member of the American Psychological Association. Dr. Haynes has lobbied and testified before legislative committee hearings in several states in the USA on behalf of individuals who have unwanted sexual or gender variations.

Jens Fredrik Brenne

Jens Fredrik Brenne has been a Prison Chaplain in Eidsberg Prison in Norway for eleven years and has previously been a pastor in different local congregations in Oslo for 23 years. He is a board member of Til Helhet, an interdenominational Christian organisation that helps people struggling with sexual identity and same sex attraction. He holds a Master’s degrees in Theology and in Counselling/Pastoral Clinical Care. He works as a Pastor and a Counsellor, and is married with four adult children.

Andrea Minichiello Williams

Andrea has practised as a barrister at all levels of the British judicial system. She founded Christian Concern and the Christian Legal Centre, which have run some of the highest profile Christian freedom cases in Europe. She is a leading campaigner and spokeswoman on issues of national importance in the moral life of the nation, and a defender of Christian liberties in the UK parliamentary process, the justice system and the media.

Bryan Shen

Counsellor – Singapore

Bryan Shen

Bryan Shen is a professional counsellor and Supervisor of counsellors registered in Singapore. He works with individuals and families in Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines, many of whom are conservative and religious. He also conducts educational talks to community leaders and religious teachers of all faiths around Asia to help remove misconceptions and prejudices, so that clients deeply hidden with their struggles can feel safer to ask for help. He also conducts courses for professional counsellors, psychologists and leaders of various social-religious groups.

Rev’d Elizabeth Woning lived as an openly lesbian woman before becoming Co-Founder of Equipped to Love and the CHANGED Movement and is married to her husband Doug. She teaches at The Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, and is a member of the Moral Revolution team. She holds a master’s degree in Theology and is a licensed pastor at Bethel Church in Redding, CA.

Dr. Med. Andre Van Mol is a board-certified family physician. His education includes the University of Southern California, the Medical College of Wisconsin, Charleston Naval Hospital and the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute. He speaks and writes on Bioethics and Christian Apologetics.

Dr. Quentin Van Meter

Dr. Quentin Van Meter

Dr. Quentin Van Meter (MD FCP) is current president of the American College of Pediatricians. He is a member of the American Board of Pediatrics, and the sub-board of Pediatric Endocrinology.
Dr. Van Meter graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1969. He attended the Medical College of Virginia where he received his medical degree in 1973. Dr. Van Meter did his paediatric internship in 1973 and 1974, and his paediatric residency from 1974 to 1976, at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Oakland, through the University of California, San Francisco. He completed his paediatric endocrinology fellowship from 1978 to 1980 at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and now runs his own Paediatric Clinic.

Keith Vennum

Dr. Keith Vennum has been involved with Adult Psychiatry and Mental Health Counseling in Orlando since 2009 to the present. Before that he was Assistant Clinical Instructor in Anesthesiology at the University of Florida, July 1974, and Staff Anesthesiologist Lakeland Regional Medical Center Lakeland, Fl 1979 – 2007. He has also worked briefly in Germany and in Swaziland. He was Chief, Obstetrical Anaesthesiology at Lakeland Regional Medical Centre 1986-2002. Dr Vennum’s postgraduate qualifications are from the University of Florida (Doctor of Medicine, 1971) and Liberty University (Master of Arts Professional Counselling (2009).) Widowed in 2002, Keith has remarried and has five children from his first marriage, four grandsons and two granddaughters.

Dr Anthony Duk is board certified adult and general psychiatrist. He received his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He is married and describes himself as a traditional Vietnamese Roman Catholic psychiatrist working in the Southern California area. His work integrates philosophy and spirituality into the medication management of patients in order to help them find values and meaning in life. Society best functions by clear understanding and definitions of masculinity and femininity, as does the sanity of many of the patients Dr Duk works with. It is because of his concern for patient well-being that Dr Duk is interested in this area of psychiatry and psychology. He works with the young people in his church community, enjoying a range of activities.

Dr. Med. Deborah Pitt

Deborah Pitt is a graduate of St George’s Hospital Medical School, University of London. After internship she did a residency in General Practice. In 1979 she moved to the USA to train in Christian Psychology. She later worked in Family Practice in Washington State, returning to the UK in 1992. After doing a residency in Psychiatry she worked in that field till retirement in 2006. Deborah’s particular interests are in the interface between medicine, psychology and the Christian faith.

Christopher H. Rosik PhD is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Oregon and earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology. He is currently a psychologist and director of research at Link Care Center in Fresno, California, as well as a clinical faculty member of Fresno Pacific University.

Dr. Rosik has professional interests that include the psychological care of missionaries and clergy, the dissociative disorders, and homosexuality. He has published more than 45 articles in peer reviewed journals on these and other topics. He has served as President of the Western Region of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies (CAPS) and the Alliance for Therapeutic Choice and Scientific Integrity.

Dr. Tong is a registered clinical psychologist (HKADCP) in private practice. He founded and chairs the Catholic Researchers Fellowship which is currently transforming into the St. Justin Institute. He was formerly a member of the Pastoral Committee for Same Sex Attraction of the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong and a Commission member of the Diocesan Pastoral Commission for Marriage and the Family. He led the Hong Kong response to “Relatio Synodi – The Pastoral Challenges of the Family in the Context of Evangelization” of the III Extraordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops.
